Mokume Gane is a Japanese metalworking process that involves bonding together layers of different metals, and then twisting, hammering, or carving and flattening the metal to create beautiful surface patterns.
I make my own mokume gane from copper and silver- sometime soon I will post more information about the whole process, but for now, here are a couple of pictures of the patterning in process!
